At the elections on 1st May this year, the Conservative Group gained a majority and will form the administration for Cheshire East Council. All political groups appointed to the Council want to assure prospective candidates that we are fully committed to the changes ahead. Members are excited about the future – we’re determined to work hard to assist and support the appointed candidate through challenging times ahead. 

We believe our new Unitary Council offers an unprecedented opportunity for all parties to contribute to the development of the area and to support the new Chief Executive in delivering major transformation. With the right person in post, together we can engage communities and staff to achieve rapid development and improve the lives of Cheshire East residents for the longer term.
